Midstream Storage

LNG Vessels

The LNG vessels are built by GCL and the China Merchants Group. In phase two of the project, a 5 million ton LNG plant will be built at the port and phase three will feature a 5 million ton/annum LNG plant at the port. The 20 million ton/annum oil refinery facility will be completed in two phases with the raw materials and oil coming from Iraq and Ethiopia.

LNG Terminals

GCL has built bridgeheads, LNG terminals, for overseas gas resources in the coastal areas of east, north and south China. As public resource platforms, the LNG terminals will unload, store and process natural gas resources from Africa and other parts of the world. From here, the liquefied natural gas can be vaporized and fed into the surrounding pipeline networks and delivered to gas turbine power plants, city has and has distributed energy end users. The cooling energy created during the vaporization process can be used for industrial productions, such as food processing, plastic and rubber manufacturing and desalination, to ensure proper resource recycling.

LNG Container Transportation

GCL has achieved a breakthrough in the traditional external transport method of traditional natural gas tanker and has been actively exploring LNG container transportation and developing liquefied natural gas roads, railways and seas container transportations. The company has made a bold move by installing LNG distribution RTS and storage points in cities mid- and downstream of the Yangtze River, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hunan, to create a national sales network that connect natural gas resources to the energy artery of the market.
